I have not played with texture blending for some time so time for another go. Here are my first attempts this time including making and blending my own texture. I don’t use photographic texture, unless as a blend for my main texture

Another short visit to the Peak Wildlife Park and a few more photographs. No little Red this time as he and his friends were probably snuggled up in a dray sleeping.
We recently visited the Ribble Valley with friends. The weather was not conducive to photography on the main day (Pendle Hill was hiding). So the gallery below only shows a few photographs taken during the wet day around the area, including the excellent Assheton Arms hotel in Downham.
These are some of my recent (August/ September 2025) taken during visits to RSPB SouthStack and Chester Zoo
Peak Wildlife Park, my first visit of 2025. It was a lovely sunny day, so I took my camera for a walk. Polar Bears were having a great time in the pool with traffic cones, but most other animals were having a nice sleep in the sun.
Chester Zoo’s Heart of Africa is now open (members only this week). I made my first visit on a lovely sunny day. First impressions, excellent, well worth the wait. The animals will need a little time to adjust to their new and spacious enclosures. I will be back in a couple of weeks when the excitement has died down a bit.
A few more images
Next week, Chester Zoo opens its new Heart of Africa area. So expect lots of new photographs from me.
